Coming to Rotorua in March 2015 is the world’s biggest mountain biking festival- Crankworx.
The festival has been successfully running in Whistler, Canada for the last 11 years and now it is Rotorua’s turn to be in the spotlight. The Whistler festival regularly attracts around 150,000 spectators so Rotorua can expect to be inundated with passionate mountain biking enthusiasts.
The announcement further boosts Rotorua’s profile as the premier mountain biking destination in the southern hemisphere. The festival has something for every level of mountain biker, from riding the trails at Skyline’s brand new park to extreme riding for the real adrenaline junkies. If you’re making a sport out of spectating, expect to be kept entertained with the many parties and music events that will also be part of the festival.
